LEED 2009 TO LEED V4
MR – MATERIALS & RESOURCES
There have been many changes to the Materials & Resources category in LEED V4. The biggest change is the addition of BPDO – Building Product Disclosure and Optimization. Concrete Masonry can contribute to 3 of the new credits by having EPDs, (Environmental Product Declarations), recycled content, and by having HPDs (Health Product Declarations) Here is a breakdown of the changes in M&R, from LEED 2009 to V4.
EQ – LOW EMITTING MATERIALS
For this credit, materials that are inherently non-emitting can contribute to this credit in LEED V4 without additional testing. This includes Concrete Masonry Units, glass, stone, etc.
EQ – ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE
STC ratings for CMU for interior partitions generally fall within the range required for this credit, depending on size and density of the units.
